The face behind Wheel N Shine

With an automotive mechanical qualification and a great reputation for making sure the job is done right the first time, you know you are in good hands from the moment your vehicle is dropped off.

From my first car, keeping it detailed and cleaned every week, I found a passion that is soothing and rewarding, not only for myself but for the people around me. To this day I have detailed hundreds of cars and kept perfecting my skills and knowledge in the detailing world.

The first time I picked up a polisher I was hooked. My passion is making cars look better than ever and protecting them for years to come. Having tried and tested many products and brands over the years, I have found what works for me and helps me achieve the best results possible.

FAQs

What makes detailing different to a car wash?

A car wash gives a basic exterior wash, a simple interior vacuum and maybe a brief wipe down, typically in 30 to 90 minutes. Detailing is an extensive, meticulous deep clean and restoration of the vehicle, with a strong focus on protection inside and out. We get into places most people can't, using professional tools and products for the ultimate finish. A detail can take anywhere from 2 hours to 8 hours or more.

Does my vehicle need a ceramic coating?

Yes, absolutely. A coating protects against UV damage, bird droppings, tree sap and acid rain. It is a semi-permanent protective layer on top of your factory clear coat, which on most new cars is extremely thin. It also makes your car easier to clean, and it stays cleaner for longer.

What is paint correction?

It can involve wet sanding to level out surface defects such as scratches, swirl marks and orange peel. A cutting compound, usually on a wool pad with a rotary polisher, then removes oxidation, swirls and scratches. Finally a medium or finishing polish refines the paint, removing the fine swirls and holograms left by the previous step. The result is extreme clarity, depth and gloss: the ultimate show car finish.
